School Clothing Reminder- spring has arrived!

Dear Arbor Heights Families,

As the weather warms up and spring blossoms around us, we want to take a moment to remind everyone of school attire expectations.

It’s essential to ensure that our students’ attire aligns with both district and school guidelines, maintaining a positive and conducive learning environment for all.

Please note that neither district policy nor our school policy permits clothing that may cause distractions or promote inappropriate messages. This includes, but is not limited to, graphic shirts with inappropriate language, advertisements for alcohol, drugs, or firearms. We believe in fostering an atmosphere of respect and focus within our school community, and adhering to these guidelines supports that goal.

As the temperatures rise, we understand the desire to wear more revealing clothing; however, we kindly ask that you keep in mind the following:

  1. Midriff-baring shirts: Shirts that expose the midriff are not permitted.
  2. Shorts or skirts above mid-thigh: Please ensure that shorts and skirts are of an appropriate length, reaching at least mid-thigh.
  3. Tank tops/spaghetti straps: Tops with thin straps or those that expose too much skin around the shoulders require a sweater or hoodie.
  4. Flip-flops: For safety reasons, please refrain from wearing flip-flops to school.

We understand that spring attire can be comfortable and convenient, but it’s crucial to balance this with maintaining a suitable environment for learning. By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure that all students can focus on their studies without unnecessary distractions.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in upholding these standards.

Warm regards,

Arbor Heights School
