Dear Arbor Heights families and staff,

I am pleased to announce Nooria Miskell as interim principal of Arbor Heights Elementary for the 2024-25 school year.

Principal Miskell has most recently served as assistant principal at Chief Sealth International High School. She has also served as assistant principal at Whittier Elementary and Green Lake Elementary.

Principal Miskell has a passion for centering students and their school experiences along with supportive approaches to ensure strong teaching and learning.

SPS will begin the search for a permanent Arbor Heights principal later this school year. At that time, SPS will share next steps with the community. Read more about the SPS school leader hiring process on our website. Until then, I am confident that Principal Miskell’s commitment to partnership and equity will support and guide the Arbor Heights Elementary community.

I also want to thank Principal Collins for her many years of service and leadership and send her best wishes for her retirement!
