We have a part-time Counselor/Social Worker whose primary focus is working collaboratively with students, staff, parents and community members to support the success of all our Arbor Heights students.

In addition, they help facilitate groups to help students develop, support and/or improve social skills, friendship, handling frustration/anger and problem-solving. They provide class-wide interventions to foster academic, personal/social and emotional well-being of our students. They also provide support to individual students and families in crisis and makes referrals to community agencies, if necessary.

This year they will also be working to implement some new positive behavioral intervention supports and is also excited to develop a Family Engagement Action Team (FEAT) which will strengthen the link between our families and our school.
